Um - what else.

Zio and I have been working hard in the lab, which is (partially) why I have been so scarce here. My paper was provisionally accepted into a journal with minor revisions, but I sent my rebuttal letter and revised manuscript back over a week ago and still haven't heard back. So I am nervous. Meh.

Oh, we dressed up for Halloween.





I turned another year older last weekend and had a lovely, low-key evening out with nice lebanese dinner and the tiki bar from last year. But before that, during the day, my lab got me 2 kinds of pie. And before even that, at the weekly lab meeting I happened to be presenting at that morning, I served mimosa's because it was my birthday and I felt I could take liberties. I think it was my best received meeting presentation in the nearly 4 years that I've been there. Coincidence?

So, yeah, um , that's what we've been up to.

I'm too tired to think of a witty way to wrap this up (I had no wit even in the body of this entry anyway), so I'll just say ta-ta til next time.
