That being said - life, in spite of being crazy busy, is good. Zio and his lab mate have taken a piece of his thesis work and made it into what could be a major scientific discovery. A potentially dogma-changing discovery. I'm very proud of him, and a little jealous of the fun he's having. That's all I can say for now - it's super secret, and I don't wanna jinx it before it's published. Let's just say it's added some excitement to his scientific life.
As for my scientific life, I'm trying to wrap up another story for a paper (not as earth shattering as Zio's), and think earnestly about applying for real jobs this summer and next fall. Kinda daunting. And I'm stunned that it's already mid-March.
And our kiddo will be three years old in just over a month.
She's cheerful and articulate and imaginative and weird and willful and funny and a pretty neat little human being. She's gonna give me a run for my money as she grows up.
